The Truffle Coat Pattern Tour: Suzy from Sewing In Spain

How are you, ladies? We are quite happy today because we have another blog post from our Truffle Coat Pattern Tour. Today is Suzy Roberts´s time from Sewing in Spain.

I have a new coat…a #trufflecoat! Straightaway I knew I wanted to make it in chocolate brown corduroy! .This pattern is a joy to sew and I always learn something new when I make one of Lara´s patterns. For instance, the bagged lining, so easy! I used a warm lining and made a size 40 which gives me room for a thick jumper on cooler days.

The design is very simple and it would be great for a showy brocade or a fake fur…maybe next winter. I love the collar, it deserves its own post, surely? It just sits so perfectly and shows off the cords of the fabric. I also love the huge pockets, room for my phone, purse, glasses and hands.
